About us

We build revenue attribution analytics for people who sell things online

NumberHill is made by a small independent team. It does one thing: it connects the traffic on your website to the payments in your processor, so every channel, page and campaign carries a real dollar figure instead of a pageview count.

No sales calls, no quote forms, no data brokerage on the side. If you want to talk to us, you email [email protected] and a person replies.

Why we built it

Traffic analytics stops one step before the answer

Conventional web analytics can tell you that 4,000 people came from a newsletter and 9,000 came from search. What it cannot tell you is which of those two groups paid you — and that is the only number that decides where next month's effort goes.

The usual fix is a data warehouse, an ETL pipeline and a week of joining session tables to invoices. That is a reasonable project for a company with a data team. For everyone else it is a reason the question never gets answered at all.

So we built the join in. NumberHill matches each payment back to the visit that produced it, automatically, and reports revenue per visitor by channel — no warehouse, no SDK, no schema to design.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them are “book a demo”

The whole product is these three moving parts. You can read the full version in the installation guide before you sign up for anything.

One script on your site

A single ~4KB tag records the visit — page, referrer, UTM parameters, country resolved at the edge. No IP addresses are stored.

The visitor ID travels to checkout

You pass numberhill_visitor_id in your payment processor's metadata when a customer starts checkout. One line in code you already have.

The webhook closes the loop

Your processor's payment.succeeded webhook hits NumberHill, we match the payment back to the original visit, and the channel that earned it gets credited — refunds and duplicate webhooks included.

What we believe

Three positions, each one enforced in the product

Values are cheap to write down, so here they are with the link to the behaviour that backs each one up.

Bots don't count as customers

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Bytespider, scrapers and headless browsers are classified at the ingest layer and excluded from every visitor and revenue metric — and we show you exactly what was filtered instead of quietly deleting it.

How bot filtering works

Tracking should be a choice you make

Two scripts, one API. The default sets one first-party cookie for long attribution windows; the cookieless build stores nothing on the device and rotates identifiers every 24 hours. You pick per site, and we document the trade-off honestly rather than promising both.

Pricing you can read in one pass

Three plans, prices on the page, no sales call and no quote form. Every plan is free until September 30, 2026 — and that isn't a banner we forgot to take down: our checkout endpoint refuses to open a paid session while the free period is running.

Where we are today

An early product, and we'd rather say so

NumberHill is young. You will not find customer counts, review scores or logo walls on this site, because we would have to invent them, and a number you can't verify is worth less than no number at all.

What we can tell you is concrete: every plan is free until September 30, 2026, with no card required — and that is enforced server-side, not just hidden in the UI. The live figures in our own footer are this site's real traffic, measured by NumberHill measuring itself.

The fastest way to judge the product is to open the live demo dashboard and look at the reports yourself.

Common questions

Questions people ask about us

Who builds NumberHill?

A small independent team. NumberHill isn't a side project inside a larger analytics company — it's the product we work on, and the people who build it are the same people who answer your email.

Is my analytics data sold or shared?

No. We don't sell data, we don't share it with advertising networks, and we don't operate a cross-site tracking network — NumberHill only ever sees traffic on the sites you install it on. Visitor IP addresses are never stored; country is resolved at the CDN edge and the address is discarded.

What happens when the free period ends?

Every plan is free until September 30, 2026, with no card required. After that the published prices apply — Free stays free at 10K events a month, Growth is $19/month and Scale is $79/month. Nothing is charged automatically to an account that never entered payment details.

Which payment processors does NumberHill support?

Stripe, LemonSqueezy, Polar, Shopify, Dodo Payments are supported natively, including refunds and duplicate-webhook protection. If you're migrating from a similar tool we also accept the datafast_visitor_id metadata key, so switching is a one-line rename.

How do I get in touch?

Email [email protected] and a person reads it. Setup questions are usually answered faster by the documentation, which covers installation, checkout, webhooks, goals, bot filtering and the API.
